Teddi Mellencamp

Teddi MellencampTeddi was raised in Hilton Head Island, SC. Starting at the age of 7, she was spending most of her time traveling to horse shows with Don Stewart Stables. She quickly rose to many national championships, starting with the ponies and ultimately with the horses at shows such as Devon, Capital Challenge, Harrisburg, Washington and New York. She also qualified for all of the major equitation finals multiple times. Teddi was thrilled to end her junior career with a bang by receiving the Best Junior Rider title/award at both Capital Challenge and the Washington International Horse Show while also landing championships in the Small and Large Junior Hunter divisions.

During her junior career she rode with Don Stewart, Scott Hofstetter, Kelley Farmer, Missy Clark and Jack Towell. After winning the stakes class at Madison Square Garden (garnered her last junior year), Teddi moved to Los Angeles to pursue a position in the entertainment industry. She has been working for Brookway since 2006. In 2009 she has been champion and/or reserve at every WCHR show on the West coast which include: Thermal, Del Mar National, Blenheim Equisports, Showpark and Menlo Charity Horse show.



Catherine Boettcher

Catherine Boettcher Catherine began her career at the age of 12 riding and training with Dick Carvin, Francie Steinwedell-Carvin, and Susie Schroer at Meadow Grove Farm in Los Angeles. Under their direction, Catherine won the United States Equestrian Team Finals in 2000 and individual medals at the 2001 North American Young Junior Rider Championships. During her six years with Meadow Grove, she competed in all the major medal finals from coast to on both coasts.

In order to gain more experience in the Midwest and on the east coast, Catherine's trainers introduced her to Olympic showjumper, Laura Kraut. Working with Laura, Catherine earned many top finishes in Grand Prix events across the country. Spending the next two years in Canada training with legend Eddie Macken, she gained more international exposure, competing across Canada, Mexico and Europe in addition to the United States. Catherine credits Macken with fine tuning and polishing her skills.

After a taking a short amount of time off from riding in order to pursue a career in public relations, Catherine got back in the saddle and to her roots with the trainers who helped her get her start. Soon after, she joined the Brookway Stables team and now spends her time learning from Archie while riding, teaching and attending shows.



Jamie Krauss

Jamie KraussJamie Krauss grew up competing on the northeast show circuit, training with such hunter/jumper legends as Kip Rosenthal, Scot Evans, George Morris, and Jeffery Welles. Her success started in the pony ranks when she won the National Pony Finals in 1991. She went on to win the Marshall & Sterling Children’s Jumper Finals in 1994. In 1995, she became the youngest person ever to win the Washington International Horse Show Equitation Finals. The following year, Jamie earned a spot with the U.S team competing at the America’s Cup in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Her subsequent junior years brought sustained success; she won the AHSA Medal at Devon, and the prestigious Governor’s Cup at Old Salem Farm. She continued her amateur career in the jumpers, with major wins all over the east coast, as well as at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL. In 1999, she won the team bronze and individual silver medal (the highest placed American rider) at the North American Young Riders Championships in Gurnee, Illinois.

After earning her bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2002, Jamie worked in Public Relations, but ultimately couldn’t keep herself away from her passion for horses and the sport of show jumping. She moved to Wellington, FL to become the head trainer for Equus Equestrian Center, where she worked for two years before moving to California in 2010 to work for Brookway.

Jamie’s passion for the sport extends beyond her time in the saddle. She was a long-standing board member for the Equestrian AIDS Foundation, raising money for those in the industry afflicted with HIV/AIDS. She’s also been a feature writer for the Chronicle of the Horse and Sidelines magazine. In 2009, she put on “Grooves for Hooves,” a fundraiser in Wellington that raised nearly $60,000 for the Animal Health Foundation, a charity whose sole mission is to cure Laminitis. Most recently, she held a position on the board of the South Florida Hunter/Jumper Association.
